Seljalandsfoss waterfall is a favorite of many and it can't be missed as it's very visible from the road. Gljúfabúi Waterfall is a bit of a hidden gem next to the more known Seljalandsfoss waterfall. You go into Hveragerði and drive out of town on the other side and park by the start of the hike. Be very careful if you go here and follow the marked paths as there have been bad accidents here in the recent years where people get badly burned when they go off the paths (there is hot water everywhere and the ground is sometimes unstable). There are no facilities so you need to be ready to change in front of people and such. Reykjadalur (popular hike) is a beautiful valley with a hot river running through it where you can bathe year round.
